'Nadigaiyar Thilagam' censored, to release in Tamil on May 11

Nadigaiyar Thilagam, the Tamil version of Telugu biopic Mahanati has been censored with ‘U’ certificate. Sources say that the original Telugu version will be releasing on May 9 but Nadigaiyar Thilagam will hit the screens only on May 11.

Directed by Nag Ashwin, Keerthy Suresh plays the legendary actress Savitri in the film and Dulquer Salmaan plays Gemini Ganesan. The film also has Vijay Devarakonda of Arjun Reddy fame in an important role and Samantha plays a journalist.

Mickey J Meyer of Leader fame has composed the music for the film and Dani Sanchez-Lope who is best known for his work in Detective Byomkesh Bakshi has cranked the camera.

The teaser of the film was a big hit and the posters are also getting praised by the critics as the makers have achieved the authentic look of Savitri through Keerthy.
