Naran with two heroines Poorna and Monica was launched at Hotel Vijay Park in Chennai.
Produced by Dinesh Karthik of Vision X Media, the film is a thriller and stars new face Agneeshwar who was a theatre artist before he was spotted in a play and signed for this role. The music is by Dhina and KV Anand’s assistant Sravan Mithra is cranking the camera.
Poorna seemed excited about her role in the film and said, “This is a very important film for me and as soon as I heard the story I wanted to do it, regardless of any other factor. Time plays a very big role in this movie and my character is a big surprise in it.” Poorna has completed Drohi, Aadum Puli and Vithagan is looking forward to the release of all three soon. Naran is the brainchild of journalist turned director Aathi who formerly directed Silandhi which was also a thriller.
Said Aathi: “There are lot of surprises and suspense in the film. We have a huge collection of clocks which add to the film’s story in a big way. The screenplay of my film will be talked about and is very different from my previous thriller. There is the right amount of glamour and commercial elements in the film and one of the heroines does a glamorous role.”
Ganja Karuppu and Singamuthu play important roles. Says Dhina, “There are a lot more visuals than dialogues in the film and the music and songs are very different and I am happy to be a part of this project.”
