A prominent Tamil daily has reported that Nayanthara, after a foreign jaunt on landing in Chennai found customs officers going through her baggage with a scanner.

The news is that she was detained by the customs for 40 minutes while they went through her baggage with a fine comb.

The customs men it seems were tipped off by their sources, but they could not find anything in her baggage. The report also said that Nayanthara was away in Bangkok to remove her famous “ Prabhu tattoo” through laser surgery, as she had now split with him and resumed her acting career.

However when contacted, Nayan lashes out on people who’re spreading these types of baseless stories.

She told “This is all unneeded reports spread by envious folks. I don’t owe anybody any justification and is not worried about it. All these press speculations sometimes get to us. Right at the end of the day, we’re identified for our jobs and not with our personal life.”

“If I have to remove my tatoo, why should I go to Bangkok? I can easily get it done anywhere in India.  Just can’t figure out why and how such baseless reports are published about me.” fumes the actress.

“You can come and check out if I have removed the tattoo and regarding the incident in the airport, it sounds funny as who doesn’t go through security check at airports?”

Nayan who is at home with her parents is enjoying a small break as her Telugu film resumes next week.
