Nayanthara with an all new look, has kickstarted her Sekhar Kammula bilingual in Telugu and Tamil on April 28 in Hyderabad. This film is a remake of 2012 Bollywood hit Kahaani.
Nayan started the shoot on Sunday in the dusty streets of Hyderabad. She is playing the role made memorable by Vidya Balan in the Sujoy Ghosh film. Instead of Kolkata in the original, Sekhar has chosen old Hyderabad where the film will be set.
The actress is gung-ho about playing the mysterious ‘Vidya Bagchi’ of the original and in the south version her character name is Anamika. The untitled film is being co-produced by Endemol India, Logline Productions and Select Media Holdings.
Nayanthara was very impressed with Sekhar Kammula’s pre-production work for the film. Nayan was given a bounded script with the look of her costume was given. She has an all new look in the film and the actress has given bulk dates for the film.
Sekhar is planning to complete the project under 50 days and will shoot continuously in old Hyderabad. Sekhar in an interview had said: “Since this untitled film is a bilingual, there`s lot of work involved even before we start shooting. I want to shift all focus on the project which will be adapted and customised to the local sensibilities.”
