Earlier, a few years back, marriage for actresses usually meant an abrupt end to their film career but that reality seems to be gradually changing. With Hindi films creating strong roles for all age groups, the nuptial knot is no longer considered a hurdle.
But Nazriya Nazim, who has announced her marriage to fellow star Fahadh Faasil, has said in a recent interview to an English daily that right now her priority is in completing her pending projects.
She says that Fahadh has left it to her to decide on whether to remain in films or not. But the grapevine has it that Nazriya, an Afghani Muslim from conservative family, is planning to quit her career as an actor post marriage and she is not accepting any new projects.
Her latest release Salalah Mobiles has been open to mixed response. She will be seen opposite her Neram co star Nivin Pauly in the forthcoming Om Shanthi Oshaana. She has Tamil projects opposite Jai, Dulquerand Jiiva at various stages of completion.
Right now she is shooting for Anjali Menon’s Bangalore Days, with beau Fahadh, Dulquer Salmaan and Nivin Pauly.
