The remake of Bharathan’s Nidra by his son Sidharth Bharathan reached the cinemas on Feb 24.
Just days after the film’s release, Nidra is facing holdover threats due to lack of viewer turnout.
There have been posts in the various social networking sites asking for media support for the film. According to one of those posts, some are wondering why the media, which gave too much publicity for Santhosh Pandit and Casanovva, is ignoring Nidra.
Nidra is a decent film but most of the good movies that came out during recent times were facing it tough at the box office.
Last year, films like Adaminte Makan Abu and Melvilasam failed to bring in much viewers to the theatres even after winning several prestigious awards.
