The most awaited movie of 2014, Ninnindale has finally hit the theatres and Puneet the star is back once again retains the lover boy image he had portrayed in movies like Milana and Paramathma. Though the movie is quite slow paced in the second half, performance by Puneeth and debutante Erica keeps us glued to our seats until the climax. Movie has been shot at rich locations and the adventure sports shown are mind boggling; hats off to the actors who dared to perform such daredevil stunts.

Vicky alias Vicky Venkatesh (Puneeth) is a happy go lucky guy who lives in New York with his family. The family is one among the richest kannada families living in the city. Vicky who has been brought up in a very affectionate manner is someone who has a positive approach loves new challenges in life. His life revolves around his three best friends (Alok Babu, Vinayak Joshi and Sonia Deepthi), his family and thrilling adventures. He meets Pramila (Erica) unexpectedly and happens to drop her at an interview and eventually they become good friends. It does not take much time for Pramila to discover that she is in love with Vicky. She puts forward her feelings to Vicky who has a different approach towards love and life. Will Pramila?s love be accepted by Vicky or will she be married to someone else has to be seen in the climax.

Puneeth has appeared on the big screen after one year and he is definitely a treat to watch onscreen. Though he has been portrayed in a lover boy image, this one stands out to be different than the other movies. Erica has given her best in her debut movie and this performance of her?s is sure to attract film makers. Alok Babu, Vinayak Joshi, Sonia, Avinash, Achyuth Rao and Tilak Shekhar are good in their roles and do their best in the short time slot that they are on screen. Sadhu Kokila and Brahmanandam as comedians have a very short time slot on screen to entertain the audience to the expected level.

Jayanth Paranji who has given several Telugu super hit movies, has a story to be told in a very classy manner in Sandalwood. Though the X-factor of the movie misses its charm in the second half, the entire package has been dealt smoothly. Mani Sharma?s music has few numbers which are worth humming.

Camera work by P.G.Vindha is brilliant and shows the beauty of New York in a very standard mode. Sky diving and breathtaking aerial stunts form the highlight of the movie. The expected movie has lived up to its expectations and has been welcomed grandly by the audience.

Verdict: Entertaining
