The ego battle between Tamil Film Producers Council(TFPC) and Tamil Nadu Theater Owners Association (TNTOA) continues that there seems to be no end to the ongoing strike until Tamil Nadu Government’s intervention.
After a long time, there will not be any new releases for Tamil Puthandu this year. Theater owners and producers were firm in their stance that they are ready to miss out the tempting Tamil New Year weekend. In fact, after producers told Karthik Subbaraj that he should not Mercury on April 13, the director has agreed not to release the Tamil version.
Meanwhile, SR Prabhu has donated RS 10 lakhs to FEFSI workers as their income flow has been completely stopped because of the strike. Prabhu had said in an earlier statement that all the members of FEFSI are aware of the need of the strike to regulate various things in the industry.
