The Women in Cinema Collective (WCC) group has been the target of many cyber bullies, after they shared an article on misogyny in Mollywood.
When the post became controversial, WCC withdrew it. But that didn’t deter many from starting a campaign where the Facebook page rating was targeted.
Now WCC has come up with an explanation, especially after rumours started spreading about the possibility of a split in the organization, following the article.
According to the latest post by WCC, there was a misconception that the article was written by the organization. “It was deleted as the opinions written in the article wasn’t ours. Our aim is to have a friendly vibe between men and women in the film industry. There were no plans to hurt the feelings of anyone.”
