After the ‘Vishwaroopam’ controversy , now it is the turn of director Ameer’s Jayam Ravi starrer ‘Aadhibhagavan’ to come under the scanner.
Lawyers R Krishnamurthy and M Duraiselvan on Monday claimed that the films content allegedly hurts religious sentiments.
They filed a petition with the Chennai police commissioner, saying that the movie’s title and content denigrated the Hindu religion. The two lawyers wanted a special screening for Hindu groups just as in the case of ‘Vishwaroopam’, which was shown to Muslim groups.
The Ameer directed film produced by DMK MLA J Anbazhagan has Jayam Ravi and Neetu Chandra in the lead and has a tag line – ‘A Mafioso action love story’.
It’s producer J Anbazhagan tweeted – “Aadhibhagavan is a commercial, entertainment, action with love story.I ts the first kural of Thirukkural, we are here to entertain the people and not to hurt anyone.”
