P.C.Sreeram’s film at MIFF

DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY is happening in the country. Film-makers are exploring and tapping this medium for their creative ventures. It is already being used in certain films with special effects and graphics mostly at the post-production level.

Vaanam Vasappadum, is the first digital hi-definition film in Indian cinema directed by ace cinematographer P.C.Sreeram that has been selected for a special screening in digital projection at Mumbai International Film Festival (MIFF).

Earlier Vaanam Vasappadum, was released all over Tamilnadu in the regular theatrical format. Now the recent digital colour correction was done in AVID-DS, has further enhanced the quality of the film.

Says P.C.Sreeram: “Digital cinema is going to be the future as more and more theatres will have digital screening. I am honoured that Vaanam Vasappadum, is a path-breaking film which has been selected at MIFF and also for the ninth International Film Festival in Kerala”.
