"Born in Chennai and studied in America, I was skeptical about the native Madurai slang but director Dhana gave me the confidence", said Vijay Yesudas, who has been promoted from villain (Maari) to hero in Padai Veeran.
Vijay Yesudas thanked the cinematographer Rajavel for being kind and explaining the nuances of expressions for the camera. The makers screened two peppy rural numbers at the event and everyone including Mysskin was in full praise for Vijay Yesudas' dance.
Mani Ratnam, Guru of director Dhana said: "Dhana is truly a war soldier (Padai Veeran) in my team. He is always ready for anything, be it work, fight or any issues in the shooting spot. Once I read his (writer Jayan Mohan's) short story, the writing had the perfection of a veteran, I felt very happy that my assistant had done a good job. Hoping Padai Veeran will also give a similar endearing experience".
Mani Ratnam launched the audio of Padai Veeran and Mysskin received it.
