Veteran actor Paresh Rawal, who started his acting career as a villian and later went on to comedy, says a good script is what matters the most for him.

"I believe a script needs to be strong for a movie to do well and I always give preference to script before zeroing in on any project," Paresh said.

Last seen in director Umesh Shukla's Oh My God, the 62-year-old turned producer with that film.

His forthcoming project is titled Table No. 21 and he says he loved the script.

"I took up the offer because I loved the script. The story is dealt in such a way that the audience will get completely engrossed in the film," he said.

Directed by Aditya Datt, Table No. 21 also stars Rajeev Khandelwal and Tena Desae.

The story of the film written is by Sheershak Anand, Shantanu Ray Chhibber and Datt.

"The script is an amalgamation of few newspaper articles and some wild imagination. There are several layers to the film, but at core it's an emotional thriller", Anand said.

The film releases Jan 4 next year.
