Parul wins best newcomer award

Parul Yadav has done it again! The actress, who stormed Sandalwood through Govindaya Namaha last year, has won the Best Newcomer Award in the Bangalore Times Film Awards 2012.

Recently, the actress had won the Glamour Icon of the Year award instituted by Suvarna TV channel.

The emerged successful, as there were more than 12 debutantes in Sandalwood in 2012. In Govindaya Namaha, she played the role of Muslim girl. It was the song Pyarge Aagbittaite that propelled her to the top. The song happens to be the most watched Kannada movie track on Youtube in the history of Sandalwood.

“It is an honour to receive the award because it recognizes my acting talent and performance. I am thankful to my fans for having voted overwhelmingly in my favour. This award is a big motivation for me,” the actress said.

The actress, who went on to act in superstar Sudeep’s blockbuster Bachchan, recently wrapped shooting for Shivajinagara opposite action hero Duniya Vijay.

The shooting for songs is pending. Parul is set to make a debut in Tollywood through the remake of the hit Kannada movie Googly. She could not be part of Pothagadu, the Telugu remake of her hit movie Govindaya Namaha, as she was busy shooting for Bachchan. She also part of another big budget project in Kannada.
