Parvathy wins the best actress award at IFFI

Actress Parvathy won the best actress award at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) for her performance in the Malayalam film, Take Off. Mahesh Narayanan, the director of Take Off, won the Special Jury award as well.

Best film: 120 Beats Per Minute by Robin Campillo

Best director: Vivian Qu, Angels Wear White

Best Male actor: Nahuel Perez Biscayart, Beats Per Minute

Best female actor: Parvathy Thiruvoth, Take Off

Indian Film Personality of the year award: Amitabh Bachchan

Lifetime achievement award: Atom Egoyan

Best debut film of a director award: Kiro Russo, Dark Skull

ICFT UNESCO Gandhi medal: Kshitij a horizon

Special Jury award: Mahesh Narayanan, Take Off

The S Durga controversy took a different turn meanwhile, when the Censor Board intimated the film’s director Sanal Kumar Sasidharan that they will re-examining the movie. The title and the use of some words have been cited as the reasons.
