A court in Kochi has dismissed a case of plagiarism alleged by Finger Print director Satish Paul against the blockbuster hit Drishyam.

Jeethu Joseph, the director of Drishyam, told sify.com in an exclusive chat, “I am delighted by the outcome. There was a well planned move against Drishyam but the claim that the story was inspired from his book, published in 2013 was rejected by the court as there are e-mails with copies of my script, written in 2011.”

“I am all set to file a defamation suit against him as there has been a widespread attack against me alleging charges of plagiarism,” says Jeethu.

Jeethu has now directed Papanasham, the Tamil version of Drishyam, with Kamal Haasan in the lead.
