Well, as two big budget films Mersal and Theeran Adhigaram Ondru have decided to completely own Diwali, several Tamil films are now eyeing for the big Pooja holiday weekend.
We have informed earlier that Velaikkaran starring Sivakarthikeyan is scheduled to release on September 29 and Spyder starring Mahesh Babu will be hitting the screens on September 27.
The latest additions to the Pooja holiday weekend release plans are Vijay Sethupathi’s rural action entertainer ‘Karuppan’, Susi Ganesan’s Thiruttu Payale 2, GV Prakash Kumar’s Semma, Gautham Karthik’s adult comedy Hara Hara Mahadeviki and Jai -Anjali’s horror thriller Balloon.
Hara Hará Mahadeviki was supposed to release for Diwali but on Thursday, the makers announced that they are advancing the release to Ayudha Pooja.
But trade sources feel that theater is Tamil Nadu will not be able to accommodate seven films for Pooja holidays and at the maximum, three to four films might compete at the box office.
