Pooja Kumar who attracted everyone with her performance as Nirupama in Vishwaroopam was also seen playing the brave princess in Uttama Villain. Pooja is now all excited for Vishwaroopam-2 which is all set to release on August 10.
In Vishwaroopam-2, the actress performed an underwater actions sequence in Thailand and she calls it one of the amazing moments she experienced as an actress. Talking about her character in the film, Pooja says “In the first part, Nirupama actually avoids Wisam, she doesn’t like his Kathak dancing profession. Nirupama also felt that Wisam didn't love her so she decided to find a true love. In fact, both Nirupama and Wisam have their own agenda but in the end, she transforms and understands that life is not just about being selfish. Nirupama comes to know that her husband sacrifices him for the country and gets inspired by him”.
As Pooja is a trained scuba diver, Kamal asked to her perform the underwater action sequences on her own without any body double.
Pooja says that the first part is just the introduction to the character. “In the second part, Nirupama would start loving her husband and respect him for his actions. I think a lot of housewives would get bored after marriage and later, they revive the relationship again after impressed by a quality of their husbands”, smiles Pooja.
Pooja Kumar says that she can’t reveal the entire story. “All I can say is, you would see more action and more romance in the film. The biggest attraction for me in the film is that Kamal sir has handled the Indian sentiment with a western flavor. I feel that Kamal sir has a unique voice and his way of handling things is different".
The actress also reveals that Vishwaroopam-2 has an important message to the society. " I think this is the right time for Tamil cinema to go international and Vishwaroopam-2 is a big step towards the goal. I also personally want the audience to watch the movie as it has a strong message”, says the actress who feels that Vishwaroopam -2 is like James Bond movies that audiences will not feel disconnected even if they missed or forgot scenes from the previous part.
