Choreographer, actor, and director Prabhu Deva had taken a break from acting in Tamil as he was busy directing Hindi films. But after the moderate success of Devi, he seems to be concentrating more on signing films as hero in Tamil after his role as director in Bollywood took a beating after continuous flops.
Prabhu has five projects including Karthik Subbaraj’s silent film ‘Mercury’, Yung Mung Sung with Lakshmi Menon, Gulebhakavali with Hansika, Khamoshi, Hindi version of Kolayuthir Kaalam with Billa 2 director Chakri Toleti and director Vijay’s upcoming film starring Aishwarya Rajesh in the pipeline.
The latest update is that Prabhu will start shooting for the sequel of his hit 2002 Tamil film ‘Charlie Chaplin’ with director Shakthi Chidambaram. Popular comedy writer Crazy Mohan is penning the dialogues and Amma Creations T Siva is bankrolling the film.
The principal shoot of Charlie Chaplin 2 will begin on November 9 in Goa along with the film’s two heroines, Nikki Galrani and Tanya Ravichandran.
