National Award winning actor Prakash Raj is disappointed with the Bengaluru media for distorting what he said on actors foraying into politics.
“Look how they distort what u say..clarifying one and all. This is what I said on ACTORS. coming into politics IN today’s press meet. Actors should not come into politics only because they are popular. It's a disaster. They should come with the clear perception of the issues facing the country and win the trust of the people. And we should not vote as FANs. But as responsible citizens (sic)”, posted Prakash Raj on his Twitter page.
Prakash Raj also wrote an open letter to the Bengaluru media.”An open letter to The press club bangalore. Dear office bearers , I was there because you had invited me to an open interaction with the complete media under on roof. I accepted ..attended and had an open session of no holds bar interaction with all the press n media. Answered every single question. But later as I am on my journey back I see one of the media journalist distorts what I have said in the presence of the complete media and the distorted statement on actors entering politics has been picked up by all regional and national media...and also on the social network . Where is the trust between us ..when this distorting facts can happen in the full presence of the journalists at their club. What action would you the press club take to correct such bitter .. unfair act. I hope I will get a fair answer”, posted Prakash Raj.
