Prakash Raj’s ready for 'Oggarane'

The Malayalam super hit Salt and Pepper is being remade into Kannada as Oggarane. Once a theatre actor, he is now not just an actor recognizable in the southern film industry, but also a household name in the north. Prakash Raj has influenced the audience to that level.

The veteran actor who made his debut in Kannada as a director with Naanu Nanna Kanasu is now being the captain of the ship for the second time through Oggarane. Apart from directing the movie, Prakash Raj will be seen producing it under the Prakash Raj Productions banner. The remake will be a trilingual and will be camping for four months.

Not many are aware that the successful actor today has been through many struggles, dejection and has gone through a lots of up’s and down’s to find success.

He states that his heart lies with the industry and he misses the city and home sweet home. When the actor turned director turned producer was asked as to why he is making a remake film, he sai “Simple, I was influenced by Salt N' Pepper.  I loved the film and I felt like I had a lot to tell through the story, so I picked it up. As an actor I am playing out somebody else’s dreams and when I direct, I put in my dreams.”

While  Ilayaraja will be scoring music for all three languages. Dr SPB, Urvashi, Sneha, Prakash Raj, Shreyas, Samyuktha, Sihikahi Chandru, Achyuth Kumar and others are in the cast.
