Well-known south Indian actress Pranita Subhash has taken time off from her busy schedule for a social cause. The actress will be the Ambassador for the Thalassemia & Sickle Cell Society (TSCS) in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for their "Mission 10 Million". The actress was in Hyderabad recently to launch the mission in the presence of government representatives and medical fraternity.
TSCS operates a Transfusion Centre with attached Blood Bank and diagnostic laboratory and also manages the treatment of blood disorders; Thalassemia & Sickle Cell Anemia.
Through the campaign, TSCS wishes to reach 10 million people and urge them to join their hands to become donors for a noble cause i.e., to extend the lives of children affected by Thalassemia. This campaign is designed to reach software and corporate companies and residential areas.
Expressing her happiness to be part of such an important social cause, Pranita said, "Over 35 million Indians are carriers of Thalassemia and around 12,000 children are born with Thalassemia problem every year in our country. It gives me immense satisfaction and a sense of responsibility to be part of such a noble endeavor. Through this campaign, I hope children with Thalassemia receive the desired attention going forward."
On the filmy side, Pranita is geared up for the release of her next Telugu movie Dynamite. She also has her Kannada movie Second Hand Lover ready for release.
