It was not so long back that he was ridiculed by all, after a controversial interview. Nothing was happening in his favour and the industry had almost given up on him. But he bounced back and is soon emerging as the most in-demand star of Mollywood.
Yes, we are talking about Prithviraj.
Last year he acted in six films, of which Ennu Ninte Moideen and Amar Akbar Anthony were blockbusters. Anarkali and Picket 43 were hits.
Double Barrel, which was produced by his own banner, turned out to be a failure but Prithviraj was the best thing about the film. And though Ivide failed to deliver, his dialogue delivery and style won rave reviews.
He has started 2016 with a hit film, last week’s Paavada.
The projects in his kitty could make any actor envious. He has already completed Darwinte Parinamam and is currently shooting for Sujith Vaassudev’s James & Alice.
Jeethu Joseph’s thriller will follow. Jamesh Kottackal’s The Beautiful Game, Hariharan’s Syamanthakam and Srinath Rajendran’s next are to follow then.
There is a project titled Vimanam and of course, Blessy’s Aadu Jeevitham will start rolling after a while.
Last week, Ennu Ninte Moideen director R S Vimal launched his next film, Karnan, which is touted as the costliest film ever made in Malayalam.
