Priyamani is back in Tollywood with an author-backed role in the film titled Angulika, in which she dons the role of a 14th century princess.
"An actor might be doing a lot of films, but she is remembered only for a few remarkable roles. This princess` role, I am sure, would be one such role that would be etched in the minds of the audiences. I have won a national award too, but I think this role will fetch me both awards and commercial success. Frankly, it would fetch me a name too like the appreciation Anushka received after Arundhati," she says with confidence beaming all over.
She also had a word of praise for director Prem, though it being his debut film. "He has really come up with an exciting script, and a magnificent royal role for me," she adds.
With this, the Tollywood circles feel that Priyamani did carve out a female-centric zone for herself, on the lines of Vijayshanti. But, the actress is ready to quip: "I don't believe in heroine-centric films, but only the script counts."
