Trailer duration: 2 minutes 7 seconds

Urmila Matondkar has been away from the Bollywood big screen for quite some time now esp. when she was at the best phase of her career giving spellbinding performances in films like Bhoot, Pinjar and Ek Hasina Thi and the audiences was craving to see more of her. After a break of almost an year and a half, she strikes back in and as Naina that appears to be a fascinating piece of writing conveying a young lady's experiences of seeing the unseen.

On overtones of sarangi in the background, the trailer opens in a London hospital where Naina (Urmila Matondkar) is restored with her eyesight. She, at the age of 5, had lost her vision (and her parents) in a freak accident on a day of solar eclipse. For 20 years she has waited in darkness. With the cornea transplant, is the period of darkness finally over?

With the implant, she starts seeing a new world hitherto unknown to the mankind. A world she does not belong to. Is this restored vision a gift she cannot control or a curse she cannot escape? With blue frames and dark interiors, the trailer rightly establishes the horror theme of the movie. Salim-Sulaiman's background score adds to the eerie effect. Spirits, weird faces and flying phantoms make appearance to add to the shocks and thrills.

After 20 years of darkness, Naina goes through 7 days of hell. No man could survive it. She did!

Naina is about
- the eyes that saw the dead… and death
- a light more frightening than darkness
- a woman trying to find the answers to these supernatural mysteries. Will she succeed?

An iDream Production, Naina is written and directed by debutante Shripal Morakhia. The film also stars Anuj Sawhney (Nayee Padosan, Fun2ssh), Sweta Konnur, Amardeep Jha, Kamini Khanna and Sulabha sArya. The film will release on 20th May 2005.
