R.N.K. Prasad dies

South India`s well known cinematographer R.N.Krishna Prasad breathed his last on Wednesday evening in his Chennai residence.  

He was a famous cinematographer in Kannada films, and has worked in other South Indian movies also. He directed the Kannada film Naguva Hoovu starring his brother R.N.Sudharshan in the lead. The film won a state award for Krishna Prasad for the brilliant cinematography.

Krishna Prasad who is the son of R.Nagendra Rao leaves behind his wife Usha Prasad, son Rajeev Prasad and his daughter Rathnavelu. Rajeev Prasad had also directed a Kannada film Gautham with Prem as the hero. 

He also directed many television serials in Tamil. Krishna Prasad lost his younger brother and writer R.N.Jayagopal a few years ago. His sibling R.N.Sudharshan is still acting in Kannada films.

Krishna Prasad started as a cinematographer in the Kannada film Premada Puthri directed and produced by his father, late R.Nagendra Rao. The film won a National award. He worked in his home productions films like Vijayanagaradha Veera Puthra

Later Prasad worked for other film directors like Puttanna (Belli Moda),  K.S.L.Swame (Bhale Adhrushtavo Adhrushta) and many other well known directors.
