Radhika Pandit has been selected as female lead of upcoming actor Dhruva Sarja’s next film Bahadur.
The movie makers had been in search of a big name from Telugu film industry, but could not find dates of any top actress. Besides this is just the second film for Dhruva, who made a sensational debut in 2012 through Addhoori.
The producers had not revealed the name of the heroine of Bahadur till the last minute, as they wanted to create suspense and hype the movie. Even Radhika Pandit had not revealed that she would be part of Bahadur.
The actress made a grand entry to the sets of Bahadur, which went on the floors last week. Radhika was driven in a horse-drawn chariot to the sets. But she was concealed from public view. As she stepped out of the chariot, Radhika’s smiling face surprised everybody.
“I liked this entry, as it was pre-decided. I am sure that Bahadur will be another hit film,” she said.
Incidentally, both Dhruva and Radhika had paired in Addhoori, which recently completed 200 days in a few theatres. Both Dhruva and Radhika have received several awards for their performances. Though the movie was commercially successful, it was clouded under dispute among various financiers.
Dhruva is the nephew of south Indian star Arjun Sarja. Dhruva’s cousin Chiranjeevi Sarja debuted a few years ago but his career is going nowhere. On the contrary, Dhruva is in great demand these days and has signed two more projects.
