Actress Ragini Dwivedi had filed a complaint against the assistant director Umesh, for sending her coarse SMS'.
The person who was allegedly sending vulgar sms’es to actor Ragini has been identified as assistant director Umesh and has been arrested and taken into the custody by police. The actor received almost about 120 to 150 vulgar sms’s from the person and was very disturbed.
“On Sunday night, from 11.30 to 2.30 this person repeatedly called my mom's cell phone. This is the number most people in the industry have. The late night calls were in bad taste and he sent SMSs as well. My dad informed the police. I am thankful to the police for their prompt action. I have formally lodge a complaint with the Film Chamber as he claimed to be an assistant director", said the actor.
“It’s high time that women started taking stand for themselves. Only when such things come to limelight, people will know about such culprits. Such people should be punished immediately and severely. They are not worth of any respect in the society” further added the actor.
Umesh has now admitted his mistake. He has said that he was in a drunken state when he messaged her and seeked apologies from the actor and film chamber of Commerce. As a result, a ban of three months has been imposed on him due to which, he will not be able to work in the industry for this period (until December 2013).
