The much awaited film ever since its beginning days, Ragini IPS finally sees a theatrical release and when watched for something out of the box, the audience find nothing but another usual woman oriented action movie. Though the script does not appeal as expected, it is quite successful in entertaining the mass audience and also tells people what is right and wrong in a realistic manner.
The movie revolves around a woman who ascertains herself as a strong person in the society while she is an IPS officer by profession. She is ever ready to take on the goons and fight against the odds and crimes of the social order. The glamour queen is seen fighting against the influential people of the society and is one among those who cannot take the wrong doings of the criminals. Ragini IPS very clearly portrays the strength of a woman and say that women need to stand up for themselves and fight for her own protection and meanwhile can be soft and homely as well.
Ragini who was until now seen in a glamour doll avatar, now manages to make a good impression in the character of a cop. Raginiís character of a stylish cop and her ability to take on the goons single handedly pleases the mass audience. Director Anand.P.Raju could have managed a better screenplay and could have infused some interesting twists and turns. Stunts choreographed by mass maadha suit the glamour queen and Raginiís daring nature to perform the action scenes without a body double are something to be appreciated and watched out for.
Music composed by Emil Mohammad is not praise worthy while cinematography by Nandakumar suits the action, drama, suspense and thrill.
