When Rajinikanth started Petta, he sported a smart professor look in the Dehradun and Darjeeling schedules.

In the ongoing Lucknow schedule, the actor was seen with a thick beard, Kurta, and a shawl, the perfect appearance for a gangster in North India. Netizens say that the actor plays a gangster who hides his identity and works in a college for some reason. A section also says that the Rajinikanth plays an undercover cop and others say he is an army agent who hides his identity for a mission.

The identity-hiding technique had worked well for Superstar Rajinikanth in Baasha so fans are quite excited. Interestingly, in the leaked pic from Lucknow, the shawl is in blue and white color which reminds us the flag of Rajini Makkal Mandram. As Karthik Subbaraj is an ardent fan of Rajinikanth, he seems to be packaging the film with all necessary elements which excite the actor’s loyalists.

Produced by Sun Pictures, the film has an ensemble of actors including Vijay Sethupathi, Trisha, Simran, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Guru Somasundaram, Bobby Simha, Sanath, and Megha Akash.
