"As a senior actor, I request both Film Employees Federation of South India and Tamil Film Producers Council should hold peace talks to find an amicable solution for the ongoing strike in Kollywood", said Superstar Rajinikanth in his statement.

Rajinikanth has also said that he doesn't like the word 'strike' and people shouldn't rate their self esteem above the well being of the industry.

Earlier in the day, FEFSI representatives met Superstar Rajinikanth to express their plea. On Tuesday, FEFSI 's President RK Selvamani requested the intervention of Kamal Haasan and Rajinikanth on the going tussle between TFPC and FEFSI.

Sources say that the shoot of several Tamil films including Kaala and Mersal are stalled because of the FEFSI strike.
