Pradeep, Kanika Tiwari
The remake of Telugu super hit movie Happy days in kannada which was titled Jolly Days introduced many new faces to the Sandalwood industry. Though the movie was well accepted and gained appreciation, not many actors from the team got recognized. One of the lead actors of that particular movie who went on to be recognized well in the industry was Pradeep who was referred to as Jolly Days Pradeep, but that was until he made a striking entry in CCL. One of the best players of Karnataka Bulldozers, Pradeep, though is just 2 movies old happens to be a well known face in the industry. His first solo performing movie Rangan Style which made it to the headlines due to various reasons has been released and is expecting to fill up the box office collections.
Ranga (Pradeep) who owns a cyber caf? and a movie rental shop is basically a non-believer in love because of some reasons unknown initially. Basically he hates love and lovers to the extent that he doesn?t feel it necessary to keep a single love story related video and audio CDs in his shop. Such a guy falls in love with Divya (Kannika Tiwari) very easily. Her beauty and gestures are more than enough to bowl over this young man. Gradually love develops between both and like every other love story, the bride?s family, especially her uncle is against it and the couple decides to elope. They are beaten up by the henchmen sent by Divya?s uncle and when the couple decides to end their life, they are rescued by a super cop Sudeep. Sudeep further explains to the bride?s family and the relation is fixed. While all the love stories come to an end at such a point, here is a twist in the tale in the form of Nisha (Deepika Das). Who is Nisha? What has she got to do with Ranga, forms the climax.
Pradeep has performed better than his debut movie. He has probably done his best with dialogue delivery and dancing skills. His entertaining performance is sure to be the USP of his career in the coming days. Kannika Tiwari is sizzling with her costumes and gives a decent performance in the limited time she has to play on screen. Sadhu Kokila, Sharath Lohitashwa, Rekha Das, Tabla Nani excel in their roles. Bharathi Singh?s Gangamman style is the highlight of the movie. Sudeep in his cameo role needless to say is good at impressing especially in the role of a cop.
Only if the story and screenplay would have been as better as Pradeep?s acting, the movie would have for sure been a runway hit. Director Prashanth is sure to be a boon to the industry only if he works better in the coming movies. Music by Gurukiran is praise worthy and feels like Guru is back, while the dialogues penned by Manju Mandavya and cinematography by Cine Tech Soori are commendable.
