Kavithaalaya’s 49th film in their silver jubilee year Idaya Thirudan directed by Saran featuring Jayam Ravi and Kamna Jethmalani releases on February 9. The film has been cleared by censors with an ‘A’ certificate.
According to Pushpa Kandasamy the producer of the film: “I just don’t understand why the censors gave this love story an ‘A’ certificate? It is a youthful sweet romantic entertainer with no vulgarity or mindless violence”.
Idaya Thirudan is very crucial film for Jayam Ravi whose last release Mazhai was lukewarm. It is his first release this year and Ravi has to prove that he can churn out a hit without support from his dad and brother.
Saran too is badly in need of a hit to reassert his hold at the box-office. The music by Bharadwaj is topping the charts and being the Valentine weekend, the film is likely to attract the youth audience.
