Jayam Ravi was one of the big discoveries of 2003, but after the mega success of his debut film he just disappeared from the scene and did not sign a single new film. Ravi’s father ‘editor’ Mohan and brother Raja who only trust remakes were searching for the right film to recreate the magic.

Now they have brought the rights of the Telugu blockbuster Amma Naana O’Tamil Ammai (ANOTA) that had Ravi Teja, Asin and Jayasudha in the lead. In this remake titled M.Kumaran son of Bhagyalakshmi (KSOB), Ravi will play the lead role of Kumaran and a new girl will be the heroine. The powerful mother’s role will be played by London based Nadia Moidu who is making a second entry into films after her marriage.

After KSOB Ravi is also likely to do the Tamil version of Varsham another Telugu hit, which again was purchased by Papa Mohan. Let us hope that Ravi is lucky for the second time with KSOB.
