Sathru is a functional cop thriller which has its moments, watchable for the racy presentation

Sathru belongs to the antagonist Lagubaran who is menacing with his looks, dialogue delivery and body language. Kathir who was impressive in all his recent films is just adequate as a powerful cop.

Kanne Kalaimaane's script lacks depth, is extremely slow and has a docu-feel with preachy lines about farming, bank loans, NEET exams...

Kanne Kalaimaane's script lacks depth and it is slow and old fashioned. Udhay is perfect as Kannan though he is overshadowed by the rest of the cast.

Dhillukku Dhuddu 2 belongs to Santhanam. Fans of the first part will enjoy this more

Rajendran - Santhanam combination is the biggest strength of Dhillukku Dhuddu 2. This film also tells us how much we missed Santhanam's comedy in Tamil cinema, he should seriously consider returning back as the lead comedian or at least more genuine fun entertainers like this.

'Sarvam Thaala Mayam' is the best musical made in Tamil cinema

Sarvam Thaala Mayam has a simple, uncomplicated storytelling that leaves a smile on your face. GV Prakash is earnest and sincere! Nedumudi Venu as the 'mridangam vidwan' is fabulous

Peranbu is one of the boldest, gutsiest and most hard-hitting films in Tamil cinema history

Hats off to Mammootty who admirably sheds his energetic heroism and displays all his acting might here

Charlie Chaplin-2 is a film for audiences who don't care much about the logic, quality or a coherent script

If you are someone who loves to watch slapstick comedies and laugh along with the crowd, Charlie Chaplin 2 is your kind of film! The first half tests our patience with a lot of flaws including poor lip-sync, bad editing and lame jokes. Thankfully the second half is better (in comedy department). As usual, Prabhu Deva is eye pleasing with his dance moves but just cannot carry a film entirely on his shoulders.

Karthik Subbaraj uses the Baasha formula of a gangster who is hiding his identity

Petta is an out and out Rajinikanth show. Despite looking aged, the actor impresses us with his impeccable energy level. Solid supporting cast of Vijay Sethupathi and Nawazuddin are an added attraction. Bobby Simha, Sanath, Sasikumar, Munishkanth, and Megha Akash are just okay.
