Sathru is a functional cop thriller which has its moments, watchable for the racy presentation

Sathru belongs to the antagonist Lagubaran who is menacing with his looks, dialogue delivery and body language. Kathir who was impressive in all his recent films is just adequate as a powerful cop.

What works for Oviya in 90ML is that her character stays true to her off-screen image which was established through Bigg Boss show

90ML review: Tthe director has tried to convey a lot of issues like alcoholism and drug culture that exists in today’s society.

Cheran uses lengthy dialogues and songs to convey his thoughts thorugh Thirumanam which often tests our patience

Audiences who are glued to TV serials may end up liking Thirumanam one as the format is catered to their appetite. Performance wise, both Umapathy and Kavya are just adequate. Cheran, veteran actors like Thambi Ramaiah and MS Baskar are superb in their roles.

Thadam is loosely based on various real-life crimes where the suspects are identical twins

The presentation is smart and stylish. An engaging whodunit thriller from the word go. The biggest strength is Arun Vijay and his convincing performance as Ezhil and Kavin.

Kanne Kalaimaane's script lacks depth, is extremely slow and has a docu-feel with preachy lines about farming, bank loans, NEET exams...

Kanne Kalaimaane's script lacks depth and it is slow and old fashioned. Udhay is perfect as Kannan though he is overshadowed by the rest of the cast.

Kudos to Chezhiyan to make a movie like this at a time when all his contemporaries are focusing on commercial masala movies!

To Let review: At the end of the film, we only pray for the family to get a peaceful life and a good place

Karthi's 'Dev' ends up being a tiring watch. Karthi has tried hard to look convincing as Dev and carries the film entirely on his shoulder

'Dev' goes for over-the-top emotions, and basically chooses loudness over subtlety. Prakash Raj and Ramya Krishnan are reduced to mere sidekicks to show up at regular intervals to utter some cliched lines.

Dhillukku Dhuddu 2 belongs to Santhanam. Fans of the first part will enjoy this more

Rajendran - Santhanam combination is the biggest strength of Dhillukku Dhuddu 2. This film also tells us how much we missed Santhanam's comedy in Tamil cinema, he should seriously consider returning back as the lead comedian or at least more genuine fun entertainers like this.

'Sarvam Thaala Mayam' is the best musical made in Tamil cinema

Sarvam Thaala Mayam has a simple, uncomplicated storytelling that leaves a smile on your face. GV Prakash is earnest and sincere! Nedumudi Venu as the 'mridangam vidwan' is fabulous

Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven review:Watch it if you are a fan of STR!

Vantha Rajavathaan Varuven review:An average family entertainer which has its own share of positives and negatives

Peranbu is one of the boldest, gutsiest and most hard-hitting films in Tamil cinema history

Hats off to Mammootty who admirably sheds his energetic heroism and displays all his acting might here
