Emerging actress Rishika Singh, daughter of well-known director S V Rajendra Singh (Babu), has emerged out of depression to concentrate on her filmy career. The actress, who was engaged to a Kerala-based businessman, went into depression after the wedding was called off because of some reasons.
The actress recently clarified that her condition was normal and that she would explore opportunities in Sandalwood. Despite hailing from a legendry family, which has contributed more than 100 movies since the last six decades to Sandalwood, Rishika has been finding it difficult to gain a foothold in Kannada cinemas.
She acted in a few popular films before turning to the small screen where she hosted a talk show Ragale with Rishika. However, the series was pulled off the air because of unknown reasons and it was announced that Rishika was engaged to a businessman. If all went well as planned, Rishika would have been married by April end.
The actress ruled out that marriage was not on the cards for the time being, as she wants to concentrate on her movies. Her next film, Benki Birugali, is ready for release. However, she does not have any project after that movie.
Her brother Aditya Singh has also acted in few Kannada movies. However, so far, her national award-winning father has not directed any film for Rishika. It is to be seen whether he will wield the megaphone for his daughter.
