RJ Balaji’s political satire ‘LKG’ has registered a good opening in Tamil Nadu. The film surprised the trade with its impressive opening, as it was pitched against formidable opposition.

K Meenakshisundaram the General Manager of Mayajaal says : " We played 26 shows on Friday, a record for a medium film with 84 % occupancy. It's very good and we will be adding more shows over the weekend."

Shows are being increased in almost all the theaters throughout the state, especially in Chennai-Chengalpattu-Coimbatore trade regions. All major theaters have given the prime screens for the film from today so the trade already smells a big hit.

Meanwhile, another interesting update is that RJ Balaji is likely to play an important role in Shankar-Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2.
