Popular radio jockey turned actor Balaji has asked Bharathiraja, Seeman and their team to apologize for protesting against IPL matches which were scheduled in Chennai. Though Balaji did not mention anyone’s name, it’s clearly evident that the actor targeted people within the film industry who insisted to boycott IPL matches.
“Happy that the film industry is back with lot of good changes after the strike. Thousands of daily wage workers can now pay the school fees of their kids on time. Kudos to those who worked relentlessly for finding a solution. At the same time, it is the responsibility of those who raised their voice for the boycott of cricket matches, to act/react for people’s justified anger of ‘will you now say lets boycott cinema until CMD is formed.!?!’ Yes agreed, two wrongs will not make a right. But atleast accept the mistake and apologise to people for getting it completely wrong”, posted RJ Balaji on Facebook page.
When a reporter mentioned Udhayanidhi’s tweet saying new releases could be stopped, Vishal said “Only State Government should take any such decision” and director Ameer who is a part of Bharathiraja’s team said “Tamil Film Producers Council must voluntarily stop the new releases” and it means they won’t be protesting against the film industry.
