Indian fashion designers Rocky S and Neeta Lulla will participate in the South Asia Trade Fair (SATF) 2013 being held in Spain.
SATF provides a platform for promotion of trade between South Asian countries, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal, and European markets.
The four-day event will start Feb 14 at Feria Valencia in Spain and more than 400 companies are expected to participate in the event.
The participating designers will hold catwalks at regular intervals and both the Indian designers will present their summer and autumn collections.
"It is an immense pleasure and a great honour for me to be part of SATF 2013 in Spain. With the vast expansion economically and creatively in the field of fashion, this concept of bringing on board fashion designers and other fashion stakeholders from South Asia is truly going to be an amazing experience", Rocky S. said in a statement.
Apart from ramp shows, there will be gastronomic tastings and dance shows by 50 international artists.
According to Marta Ferrando, deputy director of SATF 2013, the objective of SATF 2013 is to consolidate exports from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Dubai to Spain and other European countries thus consolidating a long-term platform between manufacturers and customers.
"It is about defining the future European markets of Southern Asian industries, besides promoting their culture and tourism," Ferrando said.
SATF 2013 is organized by Rangoli Events in collaboration with Feria Valencia and Zing IMS (India), Frozen Moments and Culture Craft (Bangladesh), Event Horizon (Sri Lanka), First Kathmandu (Nepal) and Aah!zure (Dubai).
