[USA], Jan 7 (ANI): Sandra Oh, who also co-hosted Golden Globes 2019, won the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a TV Drama for her role in 'Killing Eve' and her 'Grey's Anatomy' family members cannot contain their happiness!
The cast and crew of 'Grey's Anatomy' family took to Twitter to celebrate her win and her job of hosting the 2019 ceremony alongside Andy Samberg. The duo was first paired at the 2018 Emmy awards and was given the opportunity to host the Golden Globes after their chemistry clicked, reported E! Online.
'Grey's Anatomy' creator Shonda Rhimes was all about Sandra on Twitter. Rhimes praised Sandra, who played Dr Cristina Yang on 'Grey's Anatomy' for 10 seasons.
"I am so incredibly happy for @IamSandraOh tonight. Well-deserved. Overdue. She is always best actress, y'all. Always," she tweeted.
The actor's former co-stars too extended their wishes and love for her. Kate Walsh called her a "legend" and wrote, " WOW. @IamSandraOh. You're a legend. Sending you the biggest congrats! So well deserved #GoldenGIobes."
Kevin McKidd too congratulated the star writing, " Sandra!!!!! @IamSandraOh !!! I'm so proud today! Xxx."
Camilla Luddington too expressed her joy and excitement on the actor's big win and wrote, "Ahhhhhh!!!!!!!!! This is so AMAZING!!!!!!"
This is her first win for playing the character of an MI5 analyst Eve Polastri, who became obsessed with an unhinged female assassin named Villanelle. The role had earned her an Emmy nomination last year.
The win is Sandra's second Golden Globe win, making her the first Asian performer to win multiple Golden Globes. She had earlier won it in 2006 for essaying the role of Cristina Yang in 'Grey's Anatomy.' (ANI)
