Thalapathy 62 has been officially titled as Sarkar. As there is no tax exemption for Tamil title, Murugadoss and team have opted for Sarkar which clearly tells us that the film is a political action entertainer. Also, non Tamilians will have an easy connect to the film because of this generic title Sarkar, which means 'Government' in all Indian languages.
In the film, Vijay is said to playing a rich NRI who comes to India and changes the local politics in Tamil Nadu. Keerthy Suresh plays Vijay’s pair in the film and AR Rahman is composing the music for the film.
Produced by Sun Pictures, Pala. Karupaiah and Radha Ravi are playing the two powerful politicians in the film and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar also plays a pivotal character.
Yogi Babu plays the main comedian in the film which will hit the screens for this Diwali. Apart from the Tamil version, Sarkar will also be simultaneously releasing in Telugu.
