Veteran film and theatre personality M S Sathyu created 'garam hawa' in the Kannada film industry by taking a dig at films produced by Kannada film icon Rajkumar.
Sathyu said that Rajkumar's film invariably had heroines dancing in mini-skirts.
Sathyu, known for producing trail-blazing films like 'Garam Hawa', is now chairman of the committee to choose quality films for government grants.
Coming heavily on Rajkumar, Sathyu said: "Even in films presented by Rajkumar, the hero rescues the heroine from the rowdies and the heroine begins dancing wearing mini-skirts."
"Tell me in which college in Karnataka, does such a thing happen. Which college allows its girls to wear skimpy clothes?"
Sathyu noted that the matinee idol who spoke so much for giving primacy to Kannada language, never depicted the real picture of Karnataka.
Deploring the fact that movies today derailed the youth, Sathyu even questioned the minister concerned for assuring government grants to sundry films.
