As beautiful and ravishing as she is, her dazzling looks were not enough to make her stars shine bright in cinema. Sayyeshaa made her debut in Telugu with Akhil (2015) and her Hindi film opposite Ajay Devgn Shivaay (2016), both were duds which did not even cover the cost of its print and publicity.
Then the pretty girl with an angelic face and a super oiled PR machinery turned to Tamil cinema for better luck and became the heroine in the much hyped forest thriller Vanamagan, in which she had a well-written role. But once again the film tanked. Her brilliant performance and magnetic screen presence were written about but she turned unlucky for the third time.
Sayyeshaa daughter of actors Sumeet Saigal and Shaheen Banu and grandniece of veterans Saira Banu and Dilip Kumar signed on the dotted line to be the heroine in Prabhu Deva directed multistarrer Karuppu Raja Velai Raja but unfortunately, the film was dropped after few days shoot.
Now Sayeeshaa has been roped in to play the female lead in Vijay Sethupathi's expensive film Junga, which will be extensively shot in Paris. Sources say Vijay Sethupathi himself is bankrolling the film, which will be directed by Gokul, who directed Karthi's flop supernatural period film 'Kaashmora'.
Will lady luck smile on the pretty actress this time? Watch this space.
