'Ship of Theseus' collects Rs 25.46 lakh on opening weekend

Director Anand Gandhi's Ship of Theseus, that released in just five cities, collected Rs.25.46 lakh on the opening weekend.

Made on a budget of Rs 2.5 crore (with print and advertising), it released on Friday in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad.

"Ship of Theseus" did a business of Rs 11.05 lakh Sunday, Rs 9.20 lakh on Saturday and Rs 5.21 lakh Friday. That's a total of Rs 25.46 lakh, said a statement.

Filmmaker Kiran Rao has released the film in collaboration with UTV Motion Pictures.

The story in Ship of Theseus talks about human values and features three characters - an experimental photographer, an ailing monk and a stock broker.

Now, the film will release in Ahmedabad, Chennai and Kochi on demand.
