Actresses Shobhana and Vidya Malvade went classical at a Kathak concert to pay tribute to dancer Shurushri Madhurita at the Ravindra Natya Mandir in Mumbai. The Madhurita Sarang Dance Music & Festival 2009 witnessed a tribute from eminent performers including National Award winner Padmashri Shobhana, followed by a first-ever classical performance by the Chak De India fame, Vidya Malvade, Ranjit Barot, well known Kathak dancer Sandeep Mahavir and a performance by Manganyar group of Jaisalmer.
Also present at the occasion were Salim Sulaiman, the Chak De girls, Roopkumar Rathod, Sonali Rathod, Hariharan and Ismail Darbar.
