The ongoing strike called by the Malayalam Film Exhibitors' Federation will not affect the shooting of films, which are going on now.
However the shooting of new films will start only after Nov 15.
There were reports that the producers had planned to stop the shootings with immediate effect. But the producers' association clarified that though they support the demand to hike the service charge, they have no plans to interrupt the shootings.
Meanwhile, the striking parties are having a big issue with the release of the Tamil film Thuppakki.
Most of the theatres, where the film is scheduled for release, have reportedly made it clear that they will go ahead with the release of the film even if the strike is not called off immediately.
