It is going to be a shootout at the Kollywood box-office for the next 7 Fridays (Sep 20 to Nov 1), as nearly 20 big, medium and small films are due for release. And the sad part of it is that they will be eating into each other’s collections.
As of now on September 20 there are five releases – Mysskin’s thriller Onaayum Aattukuttiyum, Shiva-Santhanam comedy caper Ya Yaa, Shaam’s thriller 6, and two small films Mouna Mazhai and Vidiyum Vare Pesu.
On September 27 it is going to be a head on clash between Arya-Nayanthara starrer Raja Rani and Vijay Sethupathi’s Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara. Kalyana Samyal Sadam is also planning to release the same day.
On October 4 Pizza 2 –Villa is trying to release along with Jannal Oram and Machan. The long delayed Kalavaadiya Pozhuthukal is also trying to release.
October 11 may see a shootout between Dhanush’s Naiyaandi and Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi’s Vanakkam Chennai. More releases including a lot of unsold films are trying for a Friday in October.
Meanwhile Diwali will see Ajith’s Arramabam Karthi’s All in All Azhaguraja, Vishal’s Pandiya Nadu and Arya’s Irandam Ulagam jostling for release dates.
