Shruti Haasan has strongly objected to the dubbing of her critically acclaimed hit D-Day into Tamil as Dawood

The controversial Nikil Advani directed D-Day tells the story of how a group of Indian intelligence wing kidnap the dreaded don Dawood Ibrahim from his Pakistani hide out.

In the Hindi movie, Shruti Haasan has a pivotal role and plays a Karachi based call girl and has intimate scenes with Arjun Rampal. Now if the Tamil dubbed version is released in Tamil Nadu it will cause embarrassment for Shruti, who has a different image in Tamil cinema.

Shruti Haasan has issued an official press release which says - "This is to inform all concerned that I am disassociating myself from the release of D-Day in Tamil called Dawood as it is being done without my consent or approval and is a clear breach of contract. In fact, we will be taking a legal action on this issue."
