When Sibiraj watched the hit Telugu film Kshanam, he had no idea to remake it in Tamil. “My mom and sister saw the film and they are ones who asked me to remake it in Tamil”, said Sibiraj, who is playing the lead role in ‘Sathya’, the Tamil remake of Kshanam.

“When Sibi told me about Kshanam, I was in the shoot of Baahubali so asked Prabhas about the film, he spoke high about the content and told that the film spoke all myths in Telugu cinema. Even after procuring the remake rights, I preferred to not watch the original version until the team completed ten days shoot. After watching the original, I confidently told that the casting of Sathya is just perfect and they have done a brilliant job”, said Sibiraj’s dad Sathyaraj, producer of Sathya.

Ramya Nambeesan plays Sibiraj’s ex-lover in the film, which also has Anand Raj, Sathish and Yogi Babu in important roles.

Sibiraj said, “We only sent a letter to Kamal sir seeking permission to use the title ‘Sathya’ and he readily gave the title to us”. Directed by Pradeep Krishnamoorthy of Saithan fame, Sathya is all set to release on December 8.
